having lived through several landlords/ tenants over the past few years... the Half moon is again what it should be. welcoming, inviting, a lovely space and great food. We had the pork batch at the duck race and can highly recommend the charcuterie board and ploughman's! Clare
The Sunday lunch was amazing we met up with old friends and new and the atmosphere was relaxing. The staff where very pleasant and attentive. We drove over from Redditch on a recommendation from a family friend and we were not disappointed. We heard other customers saying that they would be back again as they thought the food was gorgeous. I would recommend a visit when you are next in the area but book because it is very busy. Nev
Cracking Sunday Lunch at The Half Moon Wolston today with friends.
Roast leg of pork with perfect pork crackling, roasted rolled rump beef, cauliflower cheese with garlic croutons and a touch of St Agur, crispy roast potatoes, braised red cabbage, homemade stuffing, mashed potato with crispy onions, everything was perfect. Washed down with a lovely bottle of Primitivo.
Loved the burata and whitebait starters too. 10/10
Pub landlord is Craig James Newman, Ex Hampton Manor GM and the attention to detail is there to see. Tony
